NOW Careers is currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Site Foreman to work with one of Australia's most respected Civil Contractors. Specialising in civil and private projects including roads, drainage, bulk earth works, services & civil structures. Also completing works for the mining industry supplying infrastructure to greenfiled and existing minesites in the coal industry. This company has built up a solid reputation on project between $15mil - $100mil+ and has a very strong pipeline of works in Mackay and surrounding region.
 
Due to the commencement of a large Highway construction project the services of an experienced Site Foreman are required for this new build and duplication road project. Based local to Mackay you will be based on-site and provided with all tools of the trade including vehicle, phone, laptop etc.
 
To be successful in this role you will need to have minimum 5 years on-site bulk excavation/earthworks, roads, drainage and services relocation  experience, and possess the relevant experience and skills to be able to deliver DTMR specification projects.
 
Reporting to a Project Manager your responsibilities will be to:

• Induct all new staff
• Coordinate site staff and control day to day activities
• Organise sub contractors
• Manage the quality of the project
• Interpret construction drawing
• Conduct regular safety audits
• OHS and Environmental management
• Materials Ordering
• Drive your team to assure productivity
