To comply with the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 and the privacy provisions of all applicable legislations, Now Careers in Commercial Pty Ltd require that you understand what information will be collected and how that information will be used by Now Careers in Commercial in our search for employment for you.

Now Careers in Commercial will seek information and opinions that are deemed relevant in order to find you suitable employment.  This can range from factual information - such as your address and contact details, to opinions from others about your work performance, qualifications, test results and other relevant information.  There is a requirement that we hold sensitive information securely - this can range from, but not limited to,  criminal record, health, political opinion and trade association membership.

Once you have made contact with us we will begin to collect data.  Firstly from you regarding your work history and work requirements.

From there we will seek to support this information with tests, references, medicals that you might undertake, performance feedback and, in the event that you have sustained injury through an accident, information that will be provided regarding the injury.

As part of our service to you, and to our client companies, we are obliged to ensure that both parties are provided with certain information.  In the event that we are unable to gain access to information, our customer may decline to see you for interview as full information cannot be provided and equally you may decline to go forward for certain positions as you do not have enough information.

You can however be confident that the information will only be used in connection with us assisting you in finding a new employer or in any training assessment that may be undertaken.  The only people that will have access to this information will be clients or partners of Now Careers in Commercial with a lawful entitlement to see this information.

Subject to some exceptions (these are set out in the National Privacy Principles - NPP6 Access and Correction), you have a right to see and have a copy of the information stored.  If you are able to establish that the information is incorrect we will amend this information unless we are unable to agree which will result in you being required to make a statement on your records to that effect.
